The Orange Art Association was established in 1971 as a non-profit corporation. The primary goals of our Association are to foster a better understanding of fine art by the public, to encourage students to pursue art as a career through our scholarship program and to continually challenge our members to strive for excellence and fulfillment.
The OAA is an organization where Artists get together to share their art, learn from each other and have fun in the process. Dedicated board members are forever coming up with new ways for the artists to get more exposure. Benefits for becoming a member:
•You will receive an OAA Newsletter each month meetings are held. The newsletter features upcoming events, member accomplishments, tips of the trade and websites to check out. It also reviews the previous meeting and its award winners.
•As a member, you may bring your artwork (up to two pieces) to our monthly meeting and enter our members’ only competition. There are several categories including: Novice/Intermediate and Advanced; for watercolor, oil, acrylics, photos, 3D, pastels, and mixed media. First, second, third and honorable mention ribbons are awarded and points are accumulated for each artist. Who knowsyou could be ‘Artist of the Year’.
•Participation in the ‘Rotating Art’ program where member’s art is displayed and sold at local venues.
•Opportunities to socialize with other artists, learn from each other, be inspired. It’s a great networking opportunity.
•Learn from demonstrations by an invited Guest Artist each meeting. Get educated on all types of media from these experienced artists and teachers.
